What is dog daycare?
The concept of Dog daycare started
over 15 years ago in California. Interactive dog daycares are now found in
nearly all large cities. Dogs have an
open and cageless area to interact with other dogs in an
off-leash and supervised setting. What is the benefit of a dog daycare? In America today, pets have grown to become full family members. Daycare is a great place for your dog to have fun, but also is a convenience for the owner. While your dog is at daycare, owners will feel free of that sense of guilt when their dog is left alone for long periods time. Your dog will come home tired and ready for the night. Owners won’t have to worry about taking the dog for walks after a long day of work or during inclement weather. Dogs will get lots of exercise and build stronger social skills at Diggity Dog Daycare. Diggty Dog Daycare may also aid in helping with issues like separation anxiety and destructive behavior. Is it safe to let all these dogs be together? Aggressive dogs are not allowed at Diggity Dog Daycare, so pupper parents can feel secure their dog is in a safe setting. All dogs must pass our Personal Preview Assessment. We test for aggressive traits as well as learn more about the personal and health details of your dog. This helps us to know if daycare would be a good place for your dog. It also helps to keep Diggity Dog Daycare a safe and healthy environment. Diggity Dog Daycare is a supervised setting so we can keep track of all the dog’s activities. So no dogs ever get bit at daycare? We can’t ever claim that 100%. The fact of the matter is that dogs are animals and animals are reactionary. We test dogs for outward aggressive tendencies but sometimes play can get heated and a quick nip or scratch is a possibility. We attempt to control those activities when momentum builds, but there may be moments that just gets the best of them. What happens then? Should a dog become too physical, nippy or disruptive we will separate that dog from the rest of the class by putting them in a “time-out” kennel to cool down. How often do I have to bring my dog? Are there contract requirements? Unlike a childs daycare facility, you are not required or obligated to bring your dog any fixed number of times per week or month. There are no attendence contracts or attendence requirements. You may come to Diggity Dog Daycare once a month, once a week, 3 times a week or more. It’s whatever you want. Or whenever your dog wants. Is this like an overnight kennel? No.There are a number of kennels in the area for overnight boarding. We specialize in daytime fun for your dog. Do you feed our dog? We do not recommend the feeding of the dogs while at Diggity Dog Daycare.Sometimes the excitement and play may cause them to get upset stomachs if they are fed. We recommend feeding them before you bring them to daycare and after they get home. If your dog is on a feeding schedule, we will be happy to separate your dog from the rest and give them time to eat if they desire that. The owners must bring their own food in a clearly marked plastic container. Do you give our dog treats?
Yes.We plan on giving all the dogs a treat or two
several times during the day.We try to
do this about 9am,
Noon-ish
and Please report any possible allergies your dog may have to treats!!! |
